Indication of Acimax Tablets:
Acimax is used in the treatment of Reflux Oesophagitis(GORD), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and Peptic ulcers.
Action of Acimax Tablets:
Acimax is grouped into medicines called proton pump inhibitors. These medicines operate by decreasing the amount of gastric acid made by the stomach, in order to provide relief from the symptoms and allow healing to occur unimpeded Acimax does not however, prevent food from being normally digested
Dose Advice of Acimax Tablets:
The most common dosage is 20 mg a day, but this figure may vary from 10 mg to 40 mg a day depending on condition and whether the patient is taking any other medicines. Your doctor will advise you how much to take. Children 1 year or older: The dose for children of weight 10 kg to 20 kg is 10 mg a day. This dose may be increased to 20 mg if required For children of greater than 20 kg the dose is 20 mg a day which may be increased to 40 mg if required/recommended

Common side effects of Acimax Tablets:
Diarrhoea, constipation Abdominal pain Nausea and vomiting Flatulence Skin rash and/or itchiness Headache.
Uncommon side effects of Acimax Tablets:
Muscle pain or weakness Dizziness Tingling or numbness of the hands or feet Changes in sleep patterns Mood changes Breast enlargement in males Bruise and/or bleed easily Signs of frequent infections such as fever, severe chills, sore throat or mouth ulcers.
