Indication of Aclin:
Sulindac is used to relieve pain and inflammation in the following conditions: Osteoarthritis Rheumatoid arthritis Ankylosing spondylitis Gout Other conditions where pain is due to inflammation
Action of Aclin:
Sulindac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). NSAIDs relieve pain and inflammation by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which have an important involvement in the production of inflammation, pain and fever in the body. The effects of Sulindac last for a long period of time which means it only has to be given once or twice a day to be effective.
Dose Advice of Aclin:
The usual daily dose ranges from 200 to 400 mg/day and may be given once daily or in two divided doses. If taken once daily, Sulindac should be taken in the evening. Doses greater than 400 mg/day are not recommended For the treatment of gout the patient will usually take Sulindac for about seven days.
