Indication of Actifed:
Used in the treatment of respiratory tract disorders. Including: runny nose (rhinitis), hay fever, nasal congestion and the common cold. Actifed may benefit patients with middle ear infections.Action of Actifed:
Actifed contains two ingredients and acts as an antihistamine and a decongestant.Dose Advice of Actifed:
Adults. 1 tablet OR 10 mL elixir, three times daily. Children. 6-12 years: Half a tablet OR 5.0-7.5 mL elixir, three times daily. 2-5 years: 25-5.0 mL elixir, three times daily. Elderly. As for adults, though monitor renal and/or hepatic function if concerned Use in pregnancy. There is no evidence that Actifed causes teratogenic effects, though all drugs should be avoided in the first trimester. Use in lactation. Actifed components are excreted in breast milk, though the effect on breastfed infants is not known.Schedule of Actifed:
