Carafate - Basic Information

 

Indication of Carafate:

Carafate is used to treat acute ulcers in the stomach and duodenum. Taken at a lower dose, it can also be used to prevent recurrence of these ulcers in the future.

Action of Carafate:

A stomach ulcer forms when the delicate lining of the stomach loses the protection of the stomach
