Indication of Felodur ER:
Felodur ER is used for Hypertension.
Action of Felodur ER:
Calcium channel blockers block the inward current of calcium into cells in vascular smooth muscle, myocardium and cardiac conducting system via L-type calcium channels. Felodipine, a dihydropyridine-type calcium channel blocker acts mainly on vascular smooth muscle to reduce peripheral vascular resistance, and have minimal effect on normal myocardial cells at therapeutic doses.
Dose Advice of Felodur ER:
Initially 5mg once daily, increased over 1-2 weeks to a maximum of 10mg once daily.Elderly, Hepatic impairment: Initially 25mg daily
