Indication of Intal:

Maintenance treatment in persistent asthmaProtection against exercise induced asthma

Action of Intal:

Act by inhibiting release of inflammatory mediators

Dose Advice of Intal:

MDI: 5-10mg 3 or 4 times daily, or 15 minutes before exercise. May be given twice daily in maintenance up to 20mg/dose. May be increased in severe cases or during periods of risk up to 6-8 times dailyDPI: Child>7 years: 20mg (1 capsule) 3 or 4 times daily, or 15 minutes before exerciseMay be increased in severe cases or during periods of risk up to 6-8 times dailyNeb: 20mg (1 ampoule) 3 or 4 times daily.Increased in severe cases up to 5-6 times dailyPregnancy: Safe to use. Lactation: Safe to use
