Indication of Kliogest:
Kliogest is used to control postmenopausal symptoms.
Action of Kliogest:
The oestradiol component of Kliogest helps relieve postmenopausal symptoms, and the noethisterone component prevents overgrowth of your endometrium.
Dose Advice of Kliogest:
Take one tablet daily without any breaks.Every 6 months, your doctor should evaluate your need for Kliogest over its potential adverse effects. Initially, you may experience spotting and irregular vaginal bleeding, but your menstrual periods should stop after 3-6 months of continuous Kliogest therapy. Kliogest is not to be used during pregnancy (Pregnancy Category D).

Common side effects of Kliogest:
The most recognized common side effect (>1% of patients) is abnormal spotting or irregular vaginal bleeding. This usually occurs only for the first 3-6 months, after which you should not have a menstrual period at all, or should only experience light spotting. Other common side effects are: Breast tenderness Oedema Nausea Abdominal discomfort
Uncommon side effects of Kliogest:
The following side effects occur in less than 1% of all patients using Kliogest. Do not be alarmed by the list. Not all patients experience these side effects: Headaches, migrainesAlopeciaAdverse skin reactionsGall stonesAsthmaBlood clotsCholestatic jaundice Consult your doctor if you experience any of the above symptoms, or any other unusual or abnormal symptoms that concern you.
