Metronide - Indication of :
Metronide is used to treat serious infections caused by anaerobic bacteria or protozoa (see Action Description for full list). Some of these infections include: - Blood infection.- Brain abscess.- Necrotising pneumonia.- Bone infection.- Postpartum sepsis.- Pelvic abscess.- Pelvic skin infection.- Postoperative wound infections.Metronides anti-protozoal action is useful in treating: - Urogenital trichomoniasis.- Bacterial vaginosis.- Intestinal and extraintestinal amoebiasis.- Giardiasis.- Acute ulcerative gingivitis.In the treatment of any infection, it is important to isolate the infective organism and its anti-microbial susceptibilities if possible before commencing treatment
