Seretide MDI CFC free

Seretide MDI is used for maintenance treatment of asthma, a disease of the airways and lungs characterised by shortness of breath, wheezing, chest tightness and cough. This is due to narrowing (bronchoconstriction) and inflammation (swelling and irritation) of the airways. Seretide MDI is used in patients inadequately controlled with inhaled corticosteroids or in patients previously stabilised on concomitant salmeterol and fluticasone. It is used in patients where a combined product is indicated In addition, Seretide MDI may be used for the symptomatic treatment of severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This refers to a chronic (long-term) condition of the lungs due to chronic bronchitis or emphysema, causing shortness of breath, cough, chest discomfort and sputum production. Seretide is used in severe cases which are not relieved by regular beta2-agonist bronchodilator therapy (agents to dialte the airways to make breathing easier).
