Indication of Tylenol:
Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic drug.It is used for the relief of: mild to moderate painfever migrainetension headachesAction of Tylenol:
Paracetamol reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins which are responsible for the mediation of pain and fever.Dose Advice of Tylenol:
Adults: 0.5 - 1g every 3-6 hours as required given orally or rectally.The maximum daily dose is 6g.Children: 15 mg/kg every 4-6 hours given orally or rectally.Single doses of 30 mg/kg may be used for night-time dosing.The maximum recommended dose is 60 mg/kg daily over 48 hours however up to 90 mg/kg a day may be used under close medical supervision.Schedule of Tylenol:
