Indication of Ulcyte:
Ulcyte is used to treat acute ulcers in the stomach and duodenum. Taken at a lower dose, it can also be used to prevent recurrence of these ulcers in the future. Ulcyte is also accepted for the treatment of inflammation of the oral mucosa associated with chemo- and radiotherapy.
Action of Ulcyte:
A stomach ulcer forms when the delicate lining of the stomach loses the protection of the stomach’s natural mucus and is exposed to stomach acid. When they have been exposed, Ulcyte coats the lining cells of the stomach to protect them from the harmful action of stomach acid. It can also bind to some of the digestive enzymes in the stomach and prevent them from worsening the ulcer. It is not an antacid.
Dose Advice of Ulcyte:
Acute ulcerous conditions - 1 tablet four times a day, 1 hour before meals and at bedtime - treatment may be continued for up to eight weeks Maintenance treatment - 1 tablet twice daily, before breakfast and at bedtime

Unscheduled
Common side effects of Ulcyte:
Constipation has been reported in 2-3%. Patients may also suffer headache, skin rash, nausea and diarrhoea.
Uncommon side effects of Ulcyte:
Adverse effects such as gastric discomfort, indigestion, dry mouth, itching, back pain, dizziness, sleepiness and vertigo have also been reported
