Indication of Ventolin Disks:
Treatment and prevention of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (chronic bronchitis and emphysema). Ventolin disks are useful in patients who are unable to use standard inhalers or are sensitive to freon propellants.Action of Ventolin Disks:
Salbutamol relieves asthma by relaxing muscles within the airways (bronchodilation) making it easier to breath.Dose Advice of Ventolin Disks:
Ventolin Disks contain a dry dowder and are to be used with Diskhaler, a specific inhalation device.Adults: (> 12 years) - inhale 1-2 disks 3-4 times a day. Max 12 day. Children: (< 12 years)- inhale 1 disk 3-4 times a day. Max 6 day.Not for children under the age of five.Notify doctor if symptoms do not dissipate upon use of inhaler, if symptoms reappear within 3 hours of use or if inhaler is being used in increasing amounts.Schedule of Ventolin Disks:
