Indication of Zoton:
Zoton is used to treat a number of different diseases associated with too much acid in the stomach.Reflux oesophagitis Duodenal ulcer Benign gastric ulcer Eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection in combination with appropriate antibiotics Heartburn and indigestion associated with dyspepsiaAction of Zoton:
Zoton works by inhibiting certain cells involved in acid production to reduce the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This reduces erosion of the stomach cells and helps with the pain associated with peptic ulcer disease. It also helps in diseases where too much stomach acid is regurgitated back into the oesophagus.Dose Advice of Zoton:
Zoton capsules should be swallowed whole, not crushed or chewed For maximum efficacy, Zoton should be taken in the morning before food. For patients requiring 15mg daily, capsules should be used For patients requiring 30mg or more daily, capsules or suspension can be used The granules for suspension may be especially useful for those patients who have difficulty swallowing. Mix one 30mg sachet with 30ml of water, stir well and drink immediately.Reflux oesophagitis - 30mg once daily for four weeks - a further four weeks of therapy may be indicated if healing has not occurred after the first course - maintenance therapy of 15-30mg (dose depends on patient response) once daily is useful in the prevention of symptoms Duodenal ulcer - 30mg once daily for four weeks - 15mg once daily can be used as maintenance treatment to prevent relapse Gastric ulcer - 30mg once daily for four weeks Acid-related dyspepsia - 15-30mg once daily for two to four weeks - length of treatment depends on severity of symptoms H. pylori eradication - 30mg twice daily in combination with appropriate antibioticsSchedule of Zoton:

Zoton is generally a well-tolerated drug. Any effects experienced are usually transient and mild.
